Yes, Lucy was a real dog. She passed away in August of 2004 and was the inspiration for this entire site.
She was a spoiled little Jack Russell Terrier girl who lived with her family in Montclair, New Jersey, USA. Started in August of 1995, Lucy The Wonder Dog, was one of the first Jack Russell Terrier sites on the Net. Since then, the site has grown to deal with issues that face all breeds of dogs. Issues like housebreaking, health and nutrition, joint care, pet travel, bereavement and of course, fun and recreation!

Our Guarantee
Lucy The Wonder Dog, guarantees everything we sell 100% for 30 days from time of purchase. Returned items, however, must be returned with original packaging in resale-able condition and will incur a 20% restocking fee. Items that have been opened and used or partially consumed may be refunded on a case by case basis at our discretion. BEFORE RETURNING ANY ITEMS, please e-mail us for return shipping instructions. This guarantee does NOT apply to any custom items like Bowls, urns or grave markers unless there is a error on our part in which case the item will be replaced.
Ordering Information
Lucy The Wonder Dog, accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover card for all orders. We do not accept personal checks or or money orders. If you do not want to order online, you can call our toll-free number 5 days a week, Monday through Friday from 10am - 6pm EASTERN time.
We are only accepting orders from the United States at this time. Due to excessive import taxes and duty fees, we no longer ship to Canada or any other international destinations.
Shipping Information
Most orders are shipped the day after they are received except orders received on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday which are shipped Monday. Most orders are shipped from New Jersey via FedEx Ground, UPS Ground, UPS 3 Day Select, UPS 2nd Day Air, or US Parcel Post. Depending on location, please allow 3-7 days for delivery via FedEx Ground or UPS Ground, 3 -10 days for US Parcel Post. FedEx and UPS can NOT deliver to a P.O. Box so please use a street address when requesting UPS delivery. From time to time we may upgrade your shipment to FedEx Ground or UPS Ground from US Parcel Post in which case we will need a street address as FedEx & UPS can NOT deliver to a P.O. Box.
